Setting and reaching great goals

Is this you?

  • "I set goals only at work. I'm not so good with personal goals."
  • "I do have goals, but I'm still not motivated enough."
  • "I have a definite 'big' goal in my life, but I find it difficult to take the action necessary to get there. Circumstances seem to be against me."
  • " I've got the goals, but not the time!"

What could you ask your coach?

  • "Goals haven't motivated me in the past. What am I doing wrong?"
  • "I did achieve a goal recently, but afterwards I felt flat and unmotivated. What's that all about?"
  • "Can you tell me how to set great goals?"

Do you agree with this?

Setting personal goals is not as easy as some say it is. It is very easy to miss part of the process. And it's easy to confuse a goal with a wish or dream. Many people set a goal that depends partly on someone else behaving in a particular way; therefore they are not in control.

I can help you to:

Set goals that are realistic and motivational. See what makes a bad goal, a good goal and a great goal.
Understand the concept of SMART goals.
See when setting a goal may not be the best thing to do.
